Aims of the project: As part of this Project and in line with the call for proposals, the LasApp Project sets the following primary objectives: - Implementing planned Research Projects. The LasApp Project includes four Research Projects: RWP1 Advanced Fibre Technologies and Applications, RWP2 Laser Applications in Space, RWP3 Laser Applications in Biotechnology and RWP4 Smart Laser Manufacturing. The LasApp Project, as a whole, has the ambitious goal of pushing the use of laser technologies into entirely new areas. - Building/developing an excellent Research Team, specifically, four Research Teams linked to individual Research Projects will be built and further developed. Within the teams, there will be an overlap of some members, which will ensure the transfer of knowledge and know-how across the Teams. - Establishing new international collaboration – all Partners have already established longterm relationships with leading international research institutions and industrial partners; they regularly participate in joint projects. They will share contacts while looking for new opportunities to collaborate across disciplines. - Strengthening internationalisation, specifically, the Project envisages developing international collaboration with existing partners as well as new partners and greater involvement in international projects across the disciplines that the LasApp Project develops. - Procuring instrumentation and infrastructure necessary for implementing the Research Projects. All institutions have "state-of-the-art" infrastructure in their domains, which will be fully used throughout the Project implementation. The new installations and equipment planned for the implementation are necessary for achieving the objectives. - Implementing mobilities leading to the internationalisation. This activity will deepen involvement in the international scientific community and enable the preparation of joint projects for the future, which will contribute to financial sustainability.
