Aims of the project: The project focuses on development and innovation of polishing tools for fine polishing of silicate, crystal and metallic materials, applied in the field of x-ray and UV optics. These tools will be constituted by nanofiber materials produced by the technology of electrospinning. Nanofibers will be used as substrates for abrasive nanoparticles. The polishing materials will be produced using four various technologies: Electrospinning of polymeric solution with dispersed particles of abrasives, core-shell electrospinning, simultaneous electrospinning with simultaneous throwing dust of abrasive nanoparticles, and electrospinning with alternative high electric field. Abrasive nanomaterials will be incorporated inside a nanofiber material, or will be placed to the space between nanofibers. They will be milled by cryogenic mill also. Coaxial core-shall fibers will be doped by chemicals with chemical polishing effect. The project is aimed at development of fine polishing technology, too.
