Aims of the project: Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, Garching, Germany. The PALS laboratory will be placed in the new laser hall in the Institute of Plasma Physics, Prague. This international laboratory will be used by domestic and external research workers from universities and scientific institutes for the solving of the tasks in the field of the powerful laser pulses and the laser plasma applications. For the connection of this laboratory with external users must be build up the 100 MB/s local network segmentand high speed (ATM 155 MB/s) connection to the PASNET backbone. The PALS laboratory will be also equipped by the appropriate hardware and software.
