Aims of the project: The aim of the project is substantial extension of performance characteristics of the unique type of thermal plasma generator with water stabilized arc. This type of plasma torch, which has been studied and developed only in the Czech Republic, can be used for generation of plasma jets with extreme parameters which can not be achieved in common gas plasma torches. Unique characteristics of the water torch has been demonstrated in several plasma processing applications. All recently studied and developed torches operate under similar physical conditions defined by the criteria of similarity of the arc discharge, given by the ratios of geometrical dimensions, electrical parameters and material coefficients of stabilizing liquid. The project is aimed to study of liquid plasma generators with substantially different values of similarity criteria.
