Aims of the project: The project deals with plasma spraying technology based on the Czech water stabilized plasma torch WSP. The project focuses on developing special equipment for precise injection of spray powders into the thermal plasma jet. The new equipment will ensure a high degree of reproducibility of plasma sprayed products, efficient use of spray materials, and user friendly operation of the whole WSP system. Integrating the new equipment into the WSP® spray system will result in a highly competitive product with unique properties and also in great optimization of the plasma coating technology. During the course of the project, an original diagnostic device for 3D measurement of velocities and accelerations of particles entering a plasma jet will be modified for WSP torch. Data from this device will be used for development of new powder injectors for the new powder feeding equipment.
