Neufuss | Aims of the project: The project is focused on utilization of plasma spray technology to fabricate bulk and gradient nanocrystalline parts with excellent properties. Spraying of feedstock material based on eutectic mixtures of Al, Zr, Si oxides by unique WSP (R) plasma torch will facilitate production of sizable three-dimensional parts with nanocrystalline structure. The ultimate goal of this project is to propose and optimize a technology utilizing WSP (R) plasma torch to fabricate nanocrystalline ceramic parts or thick gradient coatings with nanocrystalline structure on its surface. Mechanical properties of such parts should overcome limitations imposed by using conventional coarse-grained materials. Answers to the following questions must be solved: - influence of different ratios of oxides in the feedstock on formation of amorphous structures; - role of the constituting oxides as centers of nucleation during crystallization; - character of grain boundaries and their influence on the materials properties. | Results: | Chráska T.: Způsob přípravy gradovaného keramického povlaku a gradovaný keramický povlak připravený tímto způsobem. 2013.
